Day of Caring 2011

The 19th Annual Day of Caring and Campaign Kick Off at the Historic Triangle Community Service Building in Alex Kuras Hall was a HUGE success. The campaign goal was announced - $1.7 million and the new website was revealed - it will go live in a few days. Volunteers were spoiled with various donations of food from Rocco's Smokehouse Grill, Chick-fil-A, Firehouse Subs, Krispy Kreme and Trader Joe's as well as coffee from Aroma's. Over 150 volunteers mingled with their fellow workers and had their company team pictures taken outside on the lawn before heading off to their project sites at 9am.
Volunteers will received their 2011 Day of Caring shirt (sponsored by Chesapeake Bank, Next Door Neighbors Magazine, Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center and Walmart.) Healthy snacks (sponsored by the Williamsburg Community Health Foundation) and water (sponsored by Walmart and Pepsi.)
